Depressed about the front door :(

I pulled the architrave off and it's all rotted out. Amazing what 30 odd coats of paint can hide.
We have a hole that goes through to the inside under the cricket bat panel (a custom entry for the ratties perhaps) and also a hole that goes through the threshold. The rest seems OK but I won't know for sure till I get the rest of the paint off, so I'm looking into what I can get to repair it.
